Overview
Luciana Hornung is an attorney in Gunster’s Immigration Practice Group, where she advises clients across a broad spectrum of industries and company sizes. She provides strategic guidance on all aspects of business immigration, including B-1 visas for temporary business visitors, L-1A/L-1B visas for multinational executives, managers, and specialized knowledge professionals, the Blanket L Petition program, O-1 visas for individuals of extraordinary ability, H-1B/E-3 visas for specialty occupation professionals, TN visas for Mexican and Canadian nationals, E-2 treaty visas, and employment-based permanent residence processes such as PERM-based EB-2/EB-3, as well as EB-1A, EB-1B, and EB-1C categories.
Dedicated to exceptional client service, Luciana strives for a collaborative and detail-oriented approach to understanding each client’s unique needs and delivering high-quality legal counsel and work product.
Before joining Gunster, Luciana worked at an international global mobility firm, where she managed a wide range of employment-based immigration matters and advised multinational Fortune 500, 100, and 50 companies. She also served as Associate General Counsel at Florida State University, overseeing the university’s business immigration practice and handling diverse visa categories.
Luciana began her career as an immigration attorney at the Center for the Advancement of Human Rights, representing clients before immigration judges in removal proceedings. Her work included asylum, cancellation of removal, and humanitarian immigration cases such as T (trafficking victims), U (victims of violent crimes), VAWA, and Special Immigrant Juvenile petitions.
Outside of her legal practice, Luciana is passionate about food and culture and enjoys staying active while discovering new places around the world. In addition to the United States, Luciana has lived in both Peru and Canada and has explored more than 50 countries.
