She also collaborates with clients' accountants, financial advisors, and other trusted professionals to implement coordinated planning strategies that support both wealth preservation and legacy objectives.
Jovanna advises clients on a broad range of estate planning and wealth transfer matters, including transfer tax planning, business succession planning, charitable giving, asset protection, and trust administration. She assists clients with the implementation of sophisticated estate planning strategies and counsels fiduciaries and beneficiaries throughout the administration process. Her experience includes advising on federal income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax issues, enabling her to develop planning strategies that reflect both personal and tax considerations.
Prior to joining the firm, Jovanna gained experience in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and tax matters through positions in private practice and the tax services industry. She earned an LL.M. in Taxation and a J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she served as an editor of the Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy.
Drawing on her LL.M. in Taxation and practical experience, Jovanna helps clients navigate complex planning decisions with clarity and confidence. She takes a practical, client-focused approach to estate planning and strives to make complex legal and tax concepts understandable and actionable, helping clients protect their wealth, provide for future generations, and achieve their long-term goals.
