On October 5, 2012, the American Heart Association recognized Gunster as a Fit-Friendly Worksite (gold status), based on the firm’s wellness initiatives and results.
In addition, Gunster was among an elite group selected to receive AHA’s Worksite Innovation Award.

Gunster’s wellness initiatives in 2012 included the successful GlobalFit’s Destination: You, a year-long walking program in which a tracker worn on the shoes automatically logs and downloads a variety of physical activity throughout the year. Employee incentives included cash prizes, paid time off and discounts off health insurance premiums in 2013.
