Mary Baker is an attorney in Gunster’s Regulated Industries and Professions practice, where she combines her legal training, business insight, and healthcare background to help clients navigate complex regulatory and policy matters. Before attending law school, Mary worked as a registered nurse in the emergency room. During law school, she worked as a nursing supervisor, overseeing the operations of an acute care hospital and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This frontline experience gave her exposure to the unique pressures and operational challenges within the healthcare system. She speaks the language of medical professionals, understands the regulatory hurdles they face, and brings a practical appreciation of how policy decisions impact organizations and individuals in real time.

Mary earned her Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from Stetson University in May 2025. While in law school, she was a member of the Moot Court Board and served as an associate on the Stetson Business Law Review. These experiences sharpened her advocacy and analytical skills, improving her ability to translate complex legal and business issues into clear, actionable strategies for clients.
