Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that attorney and Construction practice co-chair Kellie Humphries has been named a Jacksonville Business Journal (JBJ) 2025 "40 Under 40" honoree. The newest class of honorees are featured in a special section of the Jacksonville Business Journal on May 16.
The Jacksonville Business Journal 40 Under 40 is a prestigious award program that showcases the next generation of leaders of the First Coast. Honorees who are recognized are executives, innovators and entrepreneurs.
In an interview with the JBJ, Humphries explains, "Since joining Gunster, I’ve sat on at least one firm committee every year. From associate development to mentorship and days of service, I always allot time to focusing on firm values and culture."
Humphries advises clients participating in a multitude of project delivery methods and across industry sectors including corporate owners, design-builders, EPC contractors, joint ventures and general contractors. Her typical cases range from contract drafting/negotiation to project consulting and pre-suit dispute resolution through trial/final hearing. Her services include simplifying complex agreements and training project teams on risk identification and mitigation. She also has extensive experience prosecuting and defending payment/change order claims, delay actions, construction defects, and related issues.
Humphries earned her J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law and her B.A. from Duquesne University of the Holy Spirit.
