Gunster attorneys Miguel Diaz de la Portilla and Elinette Ruiz-Diaz de la Portilla are representing the developer for Wyn Park, a 36-story mixed-use tower proposed in Miami’s Wynwood Norte under Florida’s Live Local Act—a major workforce and affordable housing initiative. The City of Miami’s Urban Development Review Board is slated to consider the plans.
The South Florida Business Journal spoke with Miguel Diaz de la Portilla regarding the project, which includes retail space, office space, and apartments, with plans to leverage the statute’s height and density allowances to integrate a substantial share of workforce housing.
Diaz de la Portilla said the project will "Restore, enhance, and grow the existing diverse, and mixed-use Wynwood Norte neighborhood by establishing a top-notch, beautifully designed mixed-income development which includes 117 workforce housing apartments."
