MIAMI – SEPTEMBER, 19, 2006 – Kevin Levy, a shareholder with the law firm Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart, P.A., has been elected to serve on the board of directors of the Voices for Children Foundation, Inc.

In this role, Levy will oversee multiple projects ranging from garnering awareness of and raising funds to support the foundation’s award winning programs.

The Voices for Children Foundation, Inc. is a not-for-profit foundation that raises funds to ensure that every abused and neglected child in Miami-Dade County has a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem volunteer and that financial assistance and other resources are available for their accompanying health, educational and social needs.

Levy, who maintains an active presence in a number of community organizations and local charities, is also involved with improving the lives of children in South Florida through such organizations as the Greater Miami Tennis Foundation, the Dade County Bar Association’s eMentoring Program and Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Campaign for Kids. In addition, Levy won a “Put Something Back” Pro Bono Service Award in 2002 and 2003, respectfully.

“I made a life-long commitment to helping to improve the lives of children in our community and it gives me great pleasure that I will be able to continue that commitment in my new role with Voices for Children,” Levy said.
