Michael Cavendish, shareholder of Gunster, has been elected as chairman of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA). He was appointed to the JTA board of directors in 2007 by Governor Charlie Christ.
Cavendish is a shareholder and a member of Gunster’s business litigation practice in the firm’s Jacksonville office. He represents corporations as trial counsel before federal and state trial courts. Cavendish is also a member of the American Bar Foundation, Society for Applied Anthropology, PEN American Chapter, Order of the Coif Florida Chapter and the Florida Bar Foundation.
Cavendish earned his J.D. from the University of Florida.
