Gunster, Florida’s law firm for business, is pleased to announce that David M. Wells, a business litigation attorney in its Jacksonville office, has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

The American College of Trial Lawyers is widely considered to be the premier professional organization of the most respected courtroom lawyers in the United States and Canada.

Mr. Wells is a shareholder at Gunster and serves on the firm’s Board of Directors. He focuses his practice in the area of complex commercial litigation. He is recognized by Best Lawyers in America for Bet-the-Company Litigation, for Business Litigation and for Construction Litigation. Wells is a graduate of Florida International University and received his J.D. from the University of Miami.

“I am humbled to have been invited to become a Fellow,” Wells said. “It’s an honor to be among the country’s outstanding trial lawyers asked to join the American College.”

Membership in the College is limited to no more than one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province and is by invitation only to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality.

The induction ceremony at which Wells became a Fellow took place on a recent weekend before an audience of about 600 during the College’s 2012 spring meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona.
