WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (October 18, 2012) — Florida Governor Rick Scott recently appointed two Gunster attorneys to two different state judicial nominating commissions.

Keith E. Sonderling was appointed to the Fourth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission, and Gregor J. “Greg” Schwinghammer Jr. was appointed to the Fifteenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.

The commissions are nine-member groups comprised of lawyers and non-lawyers to locate, recruit, investigate and evaluate applicants for judicial office. Commission members then submit three to six names of the most highly qualified applicants to the governor, who must make a final selection from the list.

Sonderling succeeds William Berger on the Fourth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission and Sonderling’s term runs Oct. 11, 2012 through July 1, 2016. He resides in Delray Beach.
