WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (August 1, 2014) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that Fabienne E. Fahnestock has been elected to serve as secretary of the Early Learning Coalition of Broward County board of directors. The vote took place at a board meeting in June.

The ELC is a nonprofit dedicated to the implementation of an integrated, high-quality and seamless early care and education service delivery system for children. It is accountable for assessing the early care and educational resources available in Broward County as well as developing local plans to address identified needs. In 2006, the Coalition touched the lives of over 33,000 Broward children and families.

Fabienne Fahnestock, a shareholder in Gunster’s business litigation practice, was elected to serve a one-year (2014-15) term as secretary of the board of the Early Learning Coalition (“ELC”).

Fahnestock spends her spare time on a number of important projects, including attracting education funding to Broward County for early education, helping the county make responsible decisions regarding distribution of funds, and helping early education providers implement cost-saving measures without sacrificing the quality of their programs.

“Every child should be given the opportunity to obtain an education, and to use that education to achieve their goals and dreams,” Fahnestock says.

Fahnestock provides counsel to clients throughout Florida in the areas of business litigation, health law, and labor & employment law. She has achieved an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell, been listed among The Best Lawyers in America for trusts & estates litigation, and was named one of 100 Outstanding Women of Broward County.

In 2013, Fahnestock was certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Civil Circuit Mediator.
