George LeMieux, Former Crist Chief of Staff, Launches
The LeMieux Report Aimed at Florida’s Business Community

Tallahassee, Fla. (February 25, 2008)—George LeMieux, the former Chief of Staff and senior political strategist to Florida Governor Charlie Crist, gained valuable insight during his many years in Tallahassee and is now sharing that wisdom, experience and knowledge with the public. Today he launched The LeMieux Report, an electronic newsletter that offers analysis and commentary on key legal, business and political issues that impact the state’s economy and business community. The report will be sent out to a list of corporate movers and shakers on a weekly basis and will also be posted at www.thelemieuxreport.com.

“Our goal is to examine the hottest issues of the week that impact Florida business,” said LeMieux.  “As the Governor's Chief of Staff I briefed him every day on the most important issues facing Florida.  Now I can share that analysis with Florida's leaders.”

LeMieux said he will be able to help readers navigate through important and sometimes complex issues, offering clarity and context.

LeMieux added, “Business executives are busy people. They don’t have the time to sift through all of the information that inundates today’s professional to determine what is most important to their interests. The LeMieux Report boils it down and gives them the information they need in a format that’s easy to digest.”

Besides articles and written commentary, The LeMieux Report will provide added value by encouraging readers to submit questions featured in a “Question of the Week.”

LeMieux is Chair of Gunster Yoakley’s newest office in Tallahassee, providing advice to clients, strategic corporate counseling to large companies and spearheading new business efforts. He was with the firm from 1994 to 2002, and rejoined in January of this year after serving as Governor Crist’s Chief of Staff. In that role, LeMieux oversaw all aspects of the Executive Office of the Governor including policy initiatives and departments that reported to the Governor. He also led the compact negotiations with the Seminole Tribe of Indians. Prior to being in the Governor’s office, LeMieux served as Deputy Attorney General, managing 400 attorneys. LeMieux served as Chief of Staff to the Charlie Crist for Governor Campaign and was dubbed the "maestro" by Crist for his efforts.
