GUNSTER YOAKLEY’S KEVIN M. LEVY SERVES ON INTERNATIONAL AUDIO-CONFERENCE PANEL ON TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER TACTICS
MIAMI — July 3, 2008 — Corporate attorney Kevin M. Levy, a shareholder with Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart, P.A., in Miami who co-chairs the Technology Practice Group, served on a panel of leading technology transfer professionals during an international audio-conference titled “Secrets of Win-Win Contracts: Negotiating and Contracting Tips from the Tech Transfer Experts.”
The 90-minute conference, designed to provide guidance on how to effectively negotiate and draft technology transfer transactions, featured two other panelists: Alan Bentley, director of commercialization for Cleveland Clinic Innovations, and Gail Taylor Russell, a registered patent attorney and an alliance partner of tech transfer executive leadership firm LGE Execs.
The three licensing veterans outlined the strategies and tactics needed to secure optimal terms and financial returns for an organization’s technological innovations. The conference targeted technology transfer and licensing professionals, corporate technology managers, university counsel, commercialization managers, intellectual property consultants and owners, as well as others involved in the negotiation and contracting of technology transfers.
