Gunster attorney Amy Brigham Boulris, an environmental and land use attorney in its Miami office, was featured in a September 24 Florida Trend article about a Florida property rights case recently decided by the U.S. Supreme Court.

The case, Koontz vs. St. Johns River Water Management District, centered on whether government entities could impose “exactions” in exchange for a development permit.

Boulris assisted the Pacific Legal Foundation in its representation of the Koontz family before the Supreme Court earlier this year. The resulting 5-4 decision came back in favor of the Koontzes on June 25.
