Simone Marstiller has been appointed to the Judicial Management Council of the Florida Supreme Court by Chief Justice Charles Canady for a four-year term concluding in June of 2022.

Health care law attorney Bill Dillon has been elected to serve on the Executive Council of the Florida Bar Health Law Section. Dillon will serve a 3-year term on the Executive Council whose mission is to govern the divisions and standing committees of the 1,800-plus member organization.

Barbara Bolton Litten has joined Gunster as a shareholder where she will focus her practice on managing and coordinating complex litigation. Prior to law, Barbara served as CEO of a $1.2 million not-for-profit organization in Southwest Florida.

Gunster attorney Aaron Horowitz was named as the inaugural young lawyer member of the year by the Florida Bar Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Section.

Mike Freed was named the recipient of the “But For” Leadership Florida Award for his efforts with Freed to Run at the 2018 Leadership Florida Annual Meeting. The purpose of the award is to recognize a member who has taken what they learned through their experience with Leadership Florida and implemented it back into the Florida community.
