Why do 7 in 10 family business successions fail? How do those who succeed manage to keep their wealth beyond two generations?

The Professional Advisors Council of the Community Foundation of Broward will present a panel discussion covering these issues on Tuesday, September 30.

Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m., and the panel discussion begins promptly at 12:05 p.m.

Gunster attorney Jim DavisGunster attorney James B. Davis is one of the panelists who will be discussing issues, trends and solutions for the successful transition of a family business.
Joining him on the panel is Joan Crain of BNY Mellon Wealth Management and Andy Cagnetta, CEO of Transworld Business Advisors. The panel will be moderated by Kurt Zimmerman, an attorney with Zimmerman & Associates.

Davis leads Gunster’s tax law practice, and is an adjunct professor in the University of Miami School of Law’s LLM curriculum. He is also currently a director of the Professional Advisors Council.
